"The Sea Freak Cries for Help". Letterpress Limited Edition of 25. 8x10". Eva Jorgensen

$25.00

"The Sea Freak originally appeared in what was basically the 18th century Russian version of The Weekly World News. The caption told readers that this creature was found off the coast of Spain and then captured and dragged with great difficulty out of the sea. I've appropriated the Sea Freak and used him as a symbol for anyone who's felt out of place, awkward, or lonely."

Eva Jorgensen was born by the sea, but now lives in the mountains. She has attended a dozen schools since kindergarten, and ended up with an MFA in printmaking. She and her husband, Kirk, run their little family letterpress business: Sycamore Street Press.
